Applications Open: BNI Certificate Program in Language for Humanitarian Diplomacy

Applications for Certificate Program in Language for Humanitarian Diplomacy is now opened.

Building Nations Initiative-BNI in partnership with West Africa Youth Exchange Council (WAYEC) are inviting young people residing in Ibadan to apply for a Certificate Program in Language for Humanitarian Diplomacy LAHD (Ibadan Cohort 3)

LAHD an intensive three months foreign language training program specifically designed to promote global citizenship and International cooperation by strengthening communication and cultural exchanges for humanitarian and diplomatic engagement in foreign fields.

Program benefits:

• Specialized training in German, French, and Chinese.
• Humanitarian Immersion Program in designated foreign country, with specialized training on humanitarian diplomacy, service trips to humanitarian field and advocacy visit to diplomatic agencies. .
• Specialized Humanitarian Diplomacy course
• Preparation and Registration for Proficiency Examinations
• Certified Foreign Language Trainers
• Corporate training available for Businesses, Government agencies, NGOs, and other Corporate Organisations.
• Participants can choose from Morning, Evening and Weekend Class schedules.

Target Audience:

Young people, students, early career professionals, civil Servants, media practitioners, development practitioners, Diplomats, Missionaries and others, residing in Ibadan Metropolis

IBADAN CENTRE:

Deadline: Thursday 5th July 2018

Orientation Event: Friday 6th and Saturday 7th July 2018.

Commencement Date for Lectures: Monday, 9th July 2018

Tuition Fee:

The Certificate Program attracts a monthly tuition fee of N6,000 i.e. a total fee of N18, 000 for the entire three months duration of the language training component of the program.

Scholarships:

National Youth Service Corp (NSYC) Members: Corp members currently serving in Oyo state are eligible to apply for a 40% partial scholarship. Eligible Corp members are to send a copy of their NYSC Identity Card or Call Up Letter to bninigeriahq@gmail.com with email heading LAHD Cohort 3 Scholarship, upon completing the LAHD application form.
Adolescents/High School leavers below the age of 18 who are yet to commence their tertiary education are eligible to apply for a 40% partial scholarship. Eligible high school leavers are to send a copy of their WAEC, NECO, or UTME result/certificate to bninigeriahq@gmail.com with email heading LAHD Cohort 3 Scholarship, upon completing the application form.

Additional fee exists for participation in Humanitarian Immersion Program and registration for Proficiency examination which are optional post language training component of the program.
